HIS MAJESTY THE KING is gracious pleased to approve of the following appointments in the Army and Navy:

Warrant Officer Salak, 1st Aerial Battalion, to be appointed to rank of Flight Sub-Lieutenant.

HIS MAJESTY THE KING has graciously pleased to confer the undermentioned Reward on an Officer of the Allied Air Service, in recognition of gallantry in Operations against the Enemy:

DISTINGUISHED FLYING CROSS

Flight Sub-Lieutenant Leon, 1st Aerial Battalion, Royal Naval Air Service

For conspicuous gallantry in leading his squadron in aerial kills during the last campaign* of April 1917 with the destruction of ten total enemy aircraft brought down. Leon demonstrated his skills and bravery by engaging against superior German aeroplanes in dogfights over the No Man's Land .

Lucas was a visible flight leader, showing an excellent skill and teamwork that significantly contributed to the final victory of the Entente in the last campaign* of April, 1917. Without his leadership it would be have extremely difficult to coordinate the Entente forces along the front lines. He is all so to be commended for personaly facing multiple German fighters with skillful determination and bravery.



* Bloody April 1917. 1st Aerial Battalion and it's alliance had a unique opportunity to participate on the first online campaign in Rise of Flight. Together with 1. Pulk Lotniczy, SPA 124 dite l’Escadrille Jeanne d’Arc, Les Hellequins and Corpo Aeronautico Italiano created an amazing atmosphere and managed to obtain the first trophy in Rise of Flight.

The KING has also been graciously pleased to give orders for the publication of the names of the following personnel who have received the Bloody April 1917 Campaign Ribbon:

Due to lack of aircraft and slow support of ammunition, the 1st Aerial Battalion has moved to a new aerodrome. We moved even closer to the front lines and HIS MAJESTY THE KING expects a great success of British squadrons in this area. 1st Aerial Battalion has moved to a new flight simulator, RISE OF FLIGHT.

1st Aerial Battalion has expanded its alliance. As SPA 124 dite l’Escadrille Jeanne d’Arc had heavy casualties during the late campaign over Beaucamp, 1. PULK LOTNICZY supported us with one fighter squadron - 1. Eskadra and with one bomber squadron - 2. Eskadra. We welcome 1.PL to our alliance.

Flight Lieutenant Colslaw, 1st Aerial Battalion

F/Lt. Colslaw downed twenty-four enemy aircraft during the late campaign*, the majority of which were bombers intent on visiting harm on His Majesty’s forces during their critical offensive in France. F/Lt. Colslaw’s consistent efforts marked him as the leading officer in the 1st Aerial Battalion.


HIS MAJESTY THE KING has graciously pleased to confer the undermentioned Reward on an Officer of the Allied Air Service, in recognition of gallantry in Operations against the Enemy:

Commanding Officer DKE, SPA 124 dite l’Escadrille Jeanne d’Arc.

A visible leader of SPA 124 and tenacious fighter in the air, DKE has shown a strength of will and determination to oppose the enemy in the latest campaign* despite high odds. We are pleased to confer this award to our French brethren that is fighting with our own airmen in this conflict.

MENTIONED IN DISPATCHES

Squadron Commander Cameljock, DSC, DFC, personally led bombing missions deep into enemy held territory doing grievous harm to the Germanic foe and fulfilled his duties as officer and CO during the last campaign*. His Daring and leadership was a bright beacon amongst the darkesttimes as the battles waxed and waned across the front.

HIS MAJESTY THE KING has graciously pleased to approve of the appointment of the undermentioned Officer to be Companion of the DISTINGUISHED SERVICE ORDER, in recognition of their gallantry and devotion to duty in the field:-

Flight Lieutenant Vasek, 1st Aerial Battalion, Royal Naval Air Service.

For conspicuous gallantry in leading his squadron in aerial kills during the last campaign in Flanders with the destruction of ten total enemy aircraft, and that his leadership and command of operations for moving to a new aerodrome of operations during the aforementioned campaign, Flight Lieutenant Vasek is awarded a D.S.O.

HIS MAJESTY THE KING has graciously pleased to confer the undermentioned Reward on an Officer of the Royal Naval Air Service, in recognition of gallantry in Operations against the Enemy:

DISTINGUISHED FLYING CROSS

Flight Lieutenant Cameljock, DSC (XO), 1st Aerial Battalion, Royal Naval Air Service.

A distinguished officer and exemplary bomber pilot. Flight Lieutenant Cameljock's skill and dedication to duty during the late campaign witnessed the destruction of numerous target of strategic importance. Flight Lieutenant Cameljock's shining example provides a strong lead for his brother officers and is in no small part responsible for recent victories in the air and on the ground.


HIS MAJESTY THE KING has graciously pleased to confer upon the undermentioned a Commendation of Valourous Service, in recognition of operations:

Flight Lieutenant Vasek, DSO, for the construction of 1st Aerial Battalion's new aerodrome (http://rnas.hostei.com/index.php) and pub (http://rnas.hostei.com/forums/). The Flight Lieutenant shall be given an extra ration of rum to drink to the health of HIS MAJESTY.


MENTIONED IN DISPATCHES

Flight Lieutenant Stefanik, DSC, 1st Aerial Battalion, is commended for downing five enemy aircraft over the skies of Flanders during this last campaign.

Lieutenant Wailwulf, MC, DFC, 1st Aerial Battalion, receives mention for his consistent contribution as a skilled bomber with a destruction of ten enemy targets and the bringing down of five enemy aircraft during this past campaign in Flanders.

Flight Commander Colslaw, 1st Aerial Battalion, is commended for downing four enemy aircraft over the skies of Flanders during this last campaign in two missions.

Halibut is brought to the attention of Headquarters for not just the downing of nine enemy aircraft, but of an hour long engagement with three enemy aircraft. Though no enemy machines were brought down in the engagement, Halibut's skill and courage prevented the aforementioned enemy pilots from hindering operations carried out by the 1st Aerial Battalion.

The KING has also been graciously pleased to give orders for the publication of the names of the following personnel who have received the Flying Coffins II Campaign Ribbon:-

1st Aerial Battalion on the Move!

Due to a change in the lines, it can now be told that the 1st Aerial Battalion has moved their aerodrome closer to the front. The new aerodrome/Website is located at http://rnas.hostei.com/index.php.

Any fliers in the area wishing to may come and visit and have a drink at the notorious AB1 pub which can be found at http://rnas.hostei.com/forums/ just off the field. The enemy are welcome to come and have a drink, but please plan on staying for the duration of the conflict here in Europe.
